Canon Xh A1 Av/c Camera Storage Driver Windows 7

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting the Canon XH-A1, it's an HDV tape format camera with 24p. It's calle '24F' but it's just a diff. NAME for it's '24p' capturability. If I shoot footage at 24F, and open a project in Avid Media Composer 1080 24p HDV (23.976p), will Avid's capture tool automatically create native 24p files from Canon's 24f apon import? I've had some experiance with the DVX 24p (considering they have the normal and 'advanced' 24p), but never actualy tried importing it in a native 24p timeline.

Note: this is not like sony's OLD form of ghetto 24p from early HDV cameras (like my HDR-HC1), which was called cineframe 24f. Ok, I really don't understand what exactly 3.5 added to the support of the 24f?

We had MC 3.0 and it was able to capture the 24F without timecode. Now that 3.5 advertises 'support' what is it doing different? I LOVE and LIVE by Avid. My company uses Avid exclusively, but when I feel something isn't working, I'm going to get vocal about it. Bottom line remains is that if 3.5 CANNOT capture timecode from 24F tape, then it does NOT support the format and that feature needs to be removed from the 'what's new in Avid' list. We purchased 3.5 because it supported 24f and now we find out it doesn't handle it any better than 3.0? NOT acceptable.
